About us:  

Europa Donna Cyprus was founded in 2002 as an independent non-profit organisation and is a member of the European Breast Cancer Coalition, which currently numbers 47 country members. Europa Donna Cyprus works to raise awareness on breast cancer and gynaecological cancer and to mobiles the support of Cypriot women in pressing for improved breast cancer and gynaecological cancer education, appropriate screening and optimal treatment. 
On this journey, Europa Donna Cyprus stands steadily and together with every woman and man diagnosed with breast cancer and with every woman diagnosed with gynaecological cancer.

Europa Donna Cyprus, as the entity responsible for data management in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, effective as of 25.5.2018 (GDPR), along with national laws and applicable directives from the Data Protection Authority (HDPA), is dedicated to safeguarding the personal data of visitors, service users, employees, associates, volunteers, and other individuals whose data is processed by authorised personnel of the Organisation. This commitment arises from transactional relationships, legal obligations, or legitimate interests of the Organisation.

How do we collect and utilise the Personal Data we gather

This Website collects various types of Personal Data, either directly or through third parties. These include Cookies, Usage Data, first name, last name, gender, marital status, date of birth, occupation, telephone number(s), country, city, email address, and ZIP/Postal Code.

Europa Donna Cyprus has an archive of photographic and video content to support the planning and promotion of its activities. Participants who prefer not to be featured in photographs or other visual content must inform the organizers on the day of the event to exclude them from any shots taken. Otherwise, by participating in an event, they automatically grant the event organizers the right to use any resulting visual material.

Methods of processing

The Owner takes appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorised access, disclosure, modification, or unauthorised destruction of the Data. Data processing is carried out using computers and/or IT tools, following organisational procedures and methods directly related to the specified purposes. In addition to the Owner, in some cases, the Data may be accessible to certain types of persons in charge, involved with the operation of this Website (administration, sales, marketing, legal, system administration) or external parties (such as third-party technical service providers, mail carriers, hosting providers, IT companies, communications agencies) appointed, if necessary, as Data Processors by the Owner. Retention time

Personal Data is processed and stored for as long as required for the purpose they have been collected for.

• Personal Data collected for the purposes of the Owner’s legitimate interests shall be retained as long as needed to fulfill such purposes.
