"Breast Friends" Program

Europa Donna Cyprus, through the "Breast Friends" program, supports individuals with breast cancer or gyneacological cancer for a better quality of life.

In Cyprus, more than 600 women undergo breast surgery each year due to breast cancer diagnosis, and around 200 women due to gynaecological cancer diagnosis.

In instances of breast cancer some women may undergo a mastectomy, and some may lose part of their breast, others might choose to have breast reconstruction.

Irrespective of the choice made, our aim is to ensure that all women continue to accept and feel positive about their bodies.

How to participate in the program

To participate in the "Breast Friends" program, you need to become a member of Europa Donna Cyprus by paying an annual subscription fee of €20.

Becoming a member of Europa Donna Cyprus, you will have the opportunity to participate in the following:

1. Wig: Subsidy of up to €200 towards the cost of purchasing the wig. To apply for the subsidy, you need to fill out an application form and provide the original receipt for the wig purchase, along with your bank account details (IBAN). Once the required information is received, Europa Donna Cyprus will transfer the approved amount directly into your account.
2. First soft prosthesis: Upon request, a soft prosthesis can be obtained free of charge from any Europa Donna Cyprus House, in Nicosia, Larnaca, Limassol and Paphos. This prosthesis is intended for immediate use following breast surgery.
3. External silicone prosthesis and specialised bra: Free silicone prosthesis and specialised bra will be provided free of charge and in accordance with the instructions and approval of your doctor.
